With cherished memories, we celebrate and honor a life of faith; the life of Jacquelyn J. Cook, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 87. Her journey began on February 16, 1938, in
Monroe, Michigan, born to Lawrence and Ruth (Clock) Revel.
Jacquelyn lived a life of service to others. She dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and to others. Her roles as a longtime nurse, teacher, and counselor were amazing. She touched countless lives with her knowledge, wisdom and care. Everyone sought out Jacquelyn (aka Jackie, Aunt Jackie, JJ) for medical advice. No one had to call the doctor – they just called Jacquelyn! She had a passion for learning, and her strong, vibrant personality and Godly wisdom was reflected in everything she did.
She was a loving and devoted mother to Christopher (Kathleen) Cook and Scott (Ivy) Cook. Her role as a grandmother to Christopher, Cody, and Alexis, and as a great-grandmother was precious to her. She also often spoke of the good memories of her late brother, Larry (Ila) Revel.
Her nieces and nephews, Lisa (Michael) Brown, Monica (Frank) Peterson, Holly (Dave) Hough, Larry (Karen) Revel, Greg (Beth) Revel, and Brandon Revel, along with her great-nieces and great-nephews, were all touched by her love, wisdom, and guidance. She was a faithful, tried and true friend; and her closest friends held a special place in her heart.
Jacquelyn's unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. As a prayer warrior, she dedicated herself to her Lord, to her church and to people, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer counsel, and pray for those in need. Her compassion, devotion and Godly counsel left an unforgettable and indelible mark on the hearts of everyone she met. If she could speak to us today, she would say that there is nothing more important than having a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus! And, for those who have that relationship, one of these days, there will be a great reunion with her in heaven.
Visitation for Jacquelyn will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel, 35259 23 Mile Rd.,
New Baltimore, MI. Family and friends will gather for additional services on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Victory Temple Church of God, 11166 Dixie Hwy, Erie, MI. Following the service, a graveside committal will take place on February 3, 2026, at LaSalle Cemetery in LaSalle Township, Michigan.
Jacquelyn didn't just teach us about God; she showed us. She brought light into the lives of those who knew her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Please always remember that her passing is truly a home-going. She is free from pain and her life in heaven with her beloved Savior has just begun!
