It is with sadness, and underlying joy, that we announce the passing of Jacquelyn Dearth. Born in San Diego, California, on June 27, 1950, Jackie, as she was known, went to be with Jesus in Heaven on October 20, 2025. Her compassionate heart and joyfully sarcastic humor have left an imprint on the lives of everyone she encountered.
A retired licensed professional counselor, Jackie spent her life tirelessly serving others. Her work spanning 19 years at Colorado River Indian Tribes and La Paz Counseling. She dedicated her life to helping those who struggle overcome their trauma and difficulties in the same way she worked to overcome her own struggles with God's help. Jackie's contribution didn't stop at her professional commitments. She was an integral part of Calvary Church, volunteering as a therapist and serving on the Tech Team being affectionately known as the "Best Button Pusher at Calvary." Jackie's favorite color was purple, a color that perfectly represented her passion, wisdom, and artistic nature. She loved fishing from the shores of Lake Havasu, crafting, and welcoming her friends' dogs into her home so they could travel and know their dogs were well taken care of. In her free time, she cherished spending time, and going on adventures, with her beloved daughter, Kim.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Kimberely Tilley. Her family also included her faithful canine companions, Gus the Golden, her support and therapy dog, and Louie the Lip. Gus, a gentle soul, enjoyed parading his toys around in his mouth to bring happiness to others, while Louie, though far from an angel, brought his own unique brand of amusement. Lastly, Jackie would tearfully share that she considered the staff of Calvary Church to be her family and this has proven to be true as she made her journey from life on Earth to the amazing life she is now living in Heaven. Jackie's life was a testament to the love she had for her family, both two-legged and four-legged.
We invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Jacquelyn on her memorial page, as we remember and celebrate a life lived with kindness, strength, and unyielding love. Her story is not just told through her achievements and her contributions, but through each life that she touched, each heart that she warmed, and each soul that she lifted. Her story is not over, she is now more alive than ever before in Heaven where there is no fear, not hatred, no hunger or pain. Only love. Forever.
The sunset scattering of Jackie's cremated remains will take place on Friday, November 21, 2005, over Lake Havasu. Family and friends will gather at the lighthouse on the island at 5:00 pm to honor Jackie's memory as the sunsets over the water and her remains will be scattered at 5:20 pm.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at the McCulloch Campus (1605 McCulloch Blvd S,
Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406) on November 22, 2025 @ 11:00 am.
The family kindly invites everyone to wear purple in loving memory of Jackie. In lieu of flowers or gifts a donation can be made to PAWS.
