Mrs. Jacqulyn "Jack" L. Thomas, 82, passed away Friday morning, October 31, 2025, at Harborview of Pierce County after an extended illness.
Born September 19, 1943, in Ware County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Jessie Ratliff and Gladys Sweat Ratliff. Jack was formerly employed as a seamstress for Waycross Sportswear in Waycross, as well as Oxford and Ithaca sewing factories in Alma, Georgia. She took great pride in her work and found joy in creating and crafting throughout her life.
Jack loved reading-especially books from the post–Civil War era-and she nurtured a passion for growing plants and flowers, filling her home and garden with life and color.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Clifton "W.C." Thomas; her second husband, Burldean Jackson Carver; and her sister, Linda Taylor (Frank).
Survivors include two sons, William Eugene "Gene" Thomas (late Jeannie) of Bickley and Timothy Ray "Tim" Thomas of Blackshear; three grandchildren, Jacqulyn Hope Thomas, Lindsay Deanna Thomas, and William Clifton "Cliff" Thomas; numerous great-grandchildren; five siblings, Joe Ratliff (late Elizabeth), Ruby White (late Mel), Troy Ratliff (Lynda), Kaye Johnson (Jimmy), and Denver Ratliff (Diane); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, Georgia 31501.
