Jadwiga Shanoski

SHANOSKI, Jadwiga (nee: Swiecki). September 27, 2025. Age 87. Beloved mother of Chuck Dabrowski (Barbara), the late Mark Dabrowski, and the late Ted Shanoski and step-mother of Sue Niemenski (Ron). Proud and loving grandmother of Natalie Dabrowski. Also survived by her dear cousin and best friend Renia Sosna and her brothers and sisers Roman (Lucina) Swiecki, Edyk Swiecki, Regina, Wanda, and Lucia as well as loving family in Poland, Canada, and across the United States. Jadwiga was born in Dabrowa Wielka, Poland and immigrated to the United States on June 29, 1971. She was proud to work for Kowalski Sausage in Hamtramck for more than 30 years. Jadwiga had a strong faith that she instilled in her family; she was a hard working woman who was generous and kind. She was the matriarch of her family and paved the way for many family members to immigrate to the United States or Canada. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm. Funeral Friday 11am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
