Affectionately known by many names: Jai, Jai Bug, Jai Coop, Coop a Doop, Stink a Bug, Jaianni, and lovingly called "Baby B" (short for Bugger Butt) by her mommy. Princess Jaiana was born on November 6, 2021, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the cherished daughter of Jamie Trogdon.
Our strong and beloved princess, Jaiana, was named as a beautiful tribute to both her mother, Jamie, and her mother’s dear friend, her sister in heart, Auntie Ana, combining their names to create Jaiana. Her middle name, Cooper, was chosen in honor of Brian Cooper. She attended Olmstead Pre-School in Urbandale, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went.
Jaiana was a beacon of strength, love, and resilience. She filled every life she touched with boundless joy and love. She adored her puppies, especially BeJai, and found joy in blowing bubbles, stacking blocks with her mommy, and eagerly tossing books at Grammy’s feet, awaiting storytime. Her love for baby dolls, stuffed animals, and rocking in Grammy’s chair was unmatched. Music was her happy place and that was her true jam. She carried a deep and steadfast love for the Lord.
She leaves behind her loving mother, Jamie; her devoted Grammy, Cheryl; her dear Auntie Marla; her Uncle Tim; her cousin Jon and his family; and a host of cherished aunties and other relatives who adored her deeply.
Jaiana’s light will shine forever in the hearts of those who love her. She is now joyfully teaching the other angels how to share her radiant “Jaiana smile.”
We love you, Princess Jaiana.
