Jaileigh Ann-Marie “Jai” Lowrance, 19, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, passed away on November 5, 2025, in her hometown.
Born on September 16, 2006, in Rutherfordton, Jaileigh was a bright and spirited young woman whose presence left a lasting impression on those who knew her. A recent graduate of RS Central High School, Class of 2025, she was an active member of the school’s track team and on the cheerleading squad. She loved being a part of sports and enjoyed doing them with her friends and family. She enjoyed working with her family at their family owned food truck.
Jaileigh is lovingly remembered by her mother, Tonya Deviney; her father and stepmother, Garry and Jaclyn Lowrance; her siblings: Akira Deviney, Isaiah Lowrance, Demarcus Lowrance, Christopher Hensley, Alayna Kelly, Amaiya Lowrance, and Adrian Lowrance. She also leaves behind her grandparents: Shane and Sherry Ferguson, Tommy and Crystal Deviney, Garry and Sallie Lowrance as well as her great grandparents Tom and Shirley Deviney.
Her extended family includes aunts, uncles and cousins, Amanda (Marlon) Francis, Katelyn Nitzsky, Brittany and Brandon Davis, Shayna (Tyler) Rushton, Hunter Ferguson, Luke (Deanna) Ferguson. Kris Simpson, Tonya Suber, Rycki Allen, Monica Camp, Tai Price. Keaton Deviney, Ava Francis, Christopher Kesterson, Deacon Withrow, Emmaleigh Withrow, Bailey Davis, Brylyn Arrowood, Chandzleigh Arrowood, Rylan Rushton, Carson Rushton, Haylee Waters, Jordan Ferguson, Harper Ferguson, Magnolia Ferguson, Landen Ferguson, Ty-Shawn Simpson (Elijah), Shakeilya Simpson, Ma’Kaylia Suber, Sadarie Suber (Lana), Keirai Allen (Kobe & Jace), Dhani Allen, Kyndaii Allen, Demetrius Mauney-McDaniel (Makensie & Myles), Ariana Reams, Justice Twitty, Amarie Price, Alayah Price.
Jaileigh was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Patsy and Floyd Laughter; great-grandmother Mamie Lowrance; great-aunt Rita Causby; and uncle Chandler Deviney.
The family will hold a private service to honor Jaileigh’s life.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
