Jaime Anne DuQuite-Lindsey

Jaime Anne DuQuite-Lindsey, 56, of Denmark, passed away suddenly at 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 at the Henry County Hospital ER.

She was born on Sept. 18, 1969 in Freemont, Calif. to Robert Schwegerl and Jonica DuQuite. Jaime was a faithful and caring nurse for 30 years. After 18 years of companionship, she married her best friend, Michael Lindsey, Jr. on Oct. 9, 2021 in Franklin. Jaime was a member of Denmark Fire & Rescue for 25 years and was an EMS Instructor and officer and also served on the Honor Guard. She enjoyed shopping for her family, cooking and house renovations. Most of all she loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and was known to spoil them as much as she could.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Lindsey of Denmark; her son, Nico (Abby) Ross of Denmark; her mother and step-father, Jonica DuQuite and Les Ross, Sr. of Denmark; step-children, Michael Lindsey (Alex) III of North Liberty, Nick Lindsey of California, Ashley (Paul) Bartholomew of Florida and Megan Hopp of St. Paul; six grandchildren, Mylo and Luca Ross, Vivi Lindsey, Carter and Cohen Bartholomew and Naomi Vincent; siblings, Gary Butler of Burlington and Sandra Agueda of Idaho and her beloved fur babies, King, Queen and Amata. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and stepbrother and stepsister, Les Ross Jr and Terri Ross.

Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025 at the Eagles Club in Fort Madison from 3-7 p.m. A memorial has been established for Denmark Fire and Rescue and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
