Jaime was born on April 28, 1976, in Platteville, Wisconsin, to Douglas and Pamela (Alt) Nodolf. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1994. Jaime graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1996 with an associate's degree in business management and furthered her education graduating from UW School of Radiologic Technology in 2000 and University of St. Francis in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in healthcare leadership.
Jaime worked at UW Hospital for the last 24 years where her current role was Interventional Radiology Manager. She was a member of the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) and the Association of Vascular and Interventional Radiographers (AVIR). Jaime was a superstar and national leader in the IR profession. She held many AVIR board positions including Director at Large, Vice President, President and on the Annual Meeting Program committee for many years. Jaime won the AVIR Award of Excellence in 2006. She made many lifelong friends at work who said she always brightened their day with her smile and made an impact on their lives.
Born to bring joy and laughter, Jaime knew how to make the most of every moment whether it was letting her hair fly free riding motorcycles, ripping through the cold on snowmobiles, or being a proud member of Skinny's Angels bowling team. Her magnetic personality turned every gathering into an adventure, her laughter was contagious, and her loyalty to her friends and family was unmatched. She taught us all how to embrace life with open arms and an open heart. But above all, she was the ultimate cheerleader for her son, Jackson, rarely missing a chance to be in the stands cheering on her favorite person. Our world is forever brighter because she was in it.
Jaime is survived by her soul mate, Tim Carey; son, Jackson Nodolf-Carey; stepson, Mitchell Kautz; sisters, Christa (Peter) Weghorn and Danielle (Rusty) Lynch; brother, James "JD" (Niki) Nodolf; nieces, Makayla (Brady) Rieken, Jade and Madison Nodolf; and nephews, Brendan and Brock Lynch; great-nephews, Brier and Boyer Garvey, great-nieces, Harlow and Haven Rieken, grandmother, Joyce Alt, many aunts, uncles, and her beloved crew of friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Samantha Nodolf-Carey, parents, Douglas and Pamela Nodolf, grandparents, Gerald Alt, Robert and Patricia Nodolf; and niece, Faith Lynch.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the UW Hospital TLC doctors and team for their compassionate care and support, and the continued support of our neighbors and friends especially John, Missy, Carrie, Stephanie, Amy, Kristi, Shelly, and Nichole.
