Jake Michael Farris, 37, of Moulton, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital surrounded by his family. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Torch Cemetery.
Born on May 16, 1988 to Michael and Angie Warren Farris, Jake graduated from Lawrence County High School in 2006. He worked as a Butcher for many years and enjoyed reading, studying history, video games, watching wrestling on tv, and Major League Baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his parents, Angie and Todd Williams; grandparents, Joyce Warren, Joyce Farris, and Robert Williams; sister, Jacy (Drew) Wear; nephew, Tripp Wear; niece, Elle Wear; girlfriend, Krystal Owens, and her children, Harley, Autumn, and Rayne; special aunts, Robin (Jeff) Proctor, and Veronica (Scott) Sparks-Henderson.
Jake was preceded in death by his father, Michael Farris; grandfather, James Farris; grandfather, Odean Warren; grandmother, Wilda Joyce Williams; special cousin, Luke Sparks; uncles, Johnny Dean Warren and Jimmy Dean Warren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family extends special thanks to Dr, Lobo and staff, Decatur Morgan ICU staff, Bretinie Alvis; his Foodland family, especially those in the Meat Department, and all who have prayed during the last 11 years as Jake has battled cancer.
