Jake is and will always be the cousin who taught me about cool music. He introduced me to Beck and Squirrel Nut Zippers, in Grampa and Gramma´s basement, playing pool and battle tops. We stayed in touch over the years, after I moved west, and he always lovingly called on birthdays and Christmas. I´ll miss him deeply. His beautiful spirit and kindness will stay with us forever. Love you, Jake. Hugs, cousin, always.

Jake was such a genuine, sweet soul. I see much of Jake in his nephew, Andrew(my son). Andrew loves music like his uncle Jake. It´s heartbreaking that bond won´t get to build. Prayers and hugs to all of Jake´s friends and family. He will be missed by so many.

I met Jake playing music together, but we spent the most time together working on recording my handbell choir. His skill and insight made our group better, for sure, and I am going to miss working with him, talking about and playing music with him, and just being present with him. He was truly a caring, special person and the world is poorer for him being gone.
