Jakub Wojciech Wawszczak, beloved husband and father, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 71. Kuba, as he was known to his friends and loved ones, was born in Poland and for the last 44 years lived in the Chicagoland area. He was a kind and decent man, always in service to others. He traveled the world as a partner and director with companies such as SAP, PRTM, Deloitte, BearingPoint, and EY. Jakub enjoyed sharing his expertise by authoring articles and technical business books. His ever-present smile and unmistakable laugh never failed to brighten the rooms he entered and the lives he touched. He loved life, good music, and good company, but most of all he loved his family. Jakub is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth of 42 years; their two sons, Adam and Michael; daughter-in-law Sam; his brother Jerzy; sister-in-law Ada; sister Dorota; sister-in-law Urszula; and nieces and nephews Marta, Agata, Piotr W., Pawel, and Piotr B. He also leaves behind many family and friends who adored him dearly. Family and friends will meet for a Visitation on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 9:30 a.m. at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 North State Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654.
