JAMAL KENDRICK WILSON, SR.

Jamal Kendrick Wilson, Sr entered eternal rest on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 39. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Jamal was a graduate of O. Perry Walker Senior High School, where he played on the football team. He was a former employee with Cox & Cox Drywall Contractors as a carpenter and a crew member of BP Oil Spill Cleanup. Beloved father of Jamal Kendrick Wilson, Jr. Bonus father of Mikia Jones. Son of Mary Wilson Hill and the late Willie L. Wilson. Stepson of Bobby R. Hill. Brother of Willie T. Wilson, and Marie Wilson Payton. Stepbrother of Julius Hill and Angela Hill. Brother in law of Ray Payton and Tina Brown Wilson. Forever friend and heartbeat Megan Starwood also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of St. James AME Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. James AME Church 222 N. Roman St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the above-named church. Interment: Will Be Private.
