Jamar Vick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Oak Ridge Funeral Care - Haines City on Jan. 22, 2026.
Jamar Lynn Vick of Davenport, Florida, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by loved ones, on January 13, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on August 13, 1979, in Salem County, New Jersey, Jamar was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey. Just two months after graduating high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for over 20 years. During his military career as a Security Forces member and war veteran, he reached the rank of Technical Sergeant. It was also during this time that he met and married the love of his life. Following retirement from the Air Force, Jamar continued his commitment to service as a Security Supervisor with Synchrony Bank. He was a proud member of the Masons and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Known for his generosity, Jamar never hesitated to help someone in need. He loved all animals-especially his dogs-and was always impeccably dressed, rarely seen without his sunglasses or signature hat. Jamar was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey and Vivian; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a dear friend, Darrell. He is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Stephanie M. Vick; his mother, Winnie Vick Hickman, and her husband, Gerald "Buddha" Hickman of Penns Grove, New Jersey; his sons, Deandre A. Dawes of Davenport, Florida, and Zaire Robinson of Dunn, North Carolina; his granddaughter, Kadyn Dawes of Alabama; his grandsons, Zaire Robinson Jr. and Zylo Robinson of Pennsylvania; his mother-in-law, Priscilla A. Taylor of Hagerstown, Maryland; his sister, Keishele Brown and her husband, Kim of Penns Grove, New Jersey; his brothers, Gerald M. Hickman Jr. of Sacramento, California, and Walter Hudson of Penns Grove, New Jersey; his niece, Aunjanique Wilson and her husband, Garrett; his nephew, Iyshon Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his extended military family. He is also lovingly remembered by his close friends Alvin, G-Wright, Payton, Demond, and Holder; a special cousin, Tavares; and his cherished pups, Jax and Cooper. The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and kindness extended during this time.
