James Adams Obituary
Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at North's
Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
James was born August 15, 1948 in Kerrville, TX to Dorotha Ray Adams and Billie Calvin
Adams. James attended and graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, TX. After high
school he worked for Mooney Aircraft Company. He married Sandra Lee Howell on December
27, 1968 in Hunt, TX. He was a veteran and served in the Texas Army National Guard. He
received an honorable discharge in 1973. In his spare time he loved to hunt, fish and spend time
with his family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Dorothy Adams, his in-laws, Graydon and
Esther Howell and two sister-in-laws, Ann Adams and Peggy Howell.
James is survived by his wife, Sandra Adams, daughter Brenda Johnson and her husband Larry,
son David Adams and his wife Ashley, sister Carol VanHoozer, brother Dewayne Adams,
grandchildren Michael Johnson, Candice Thrasher, Abigail Adams, Emma Adams and Anahlicia
Johnson as well as his great grandson Frankie Johnson.
