James A. Adams age 82 of East Mountain Parkway in Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born January 19, 1943 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Jessie and Bertha Sparks Adams,
Survived by two sons, James Robinson "Robbie" (Susie) Adams, Edward Brian "Eddie" (Andrea) Adams, three daughters, Iyra Mae (Logan) Marshall, Benita Lynn (Freddie) Blanton, Jovita Ann "Jodi" (Brad) Marshall), eleven grandchildren, Brian Adams, Misty Burchett, Crystal Mullins, T Marshall, Jaime Burchett, Alecia Risner, Casey Adams, Chris Blanton, Dustin Blanton, Bradley Marshall, Bryanna "Punky" Howes, and twenty-five great grandchildren, with a host of nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Emily Hensley Adams, two brothers, Willey B. Adams, and Jessie Lee Adams.
Funeral services will be conduced at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 15, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Felber and Demmie Marshal officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
