James Patrick Archer, passed away on November 28, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 66. Born on October 15, 1958, in Waco, Texas to Mitchell Lee and Melba Jean (Shaw) Archer.
James had a personality that radiated joy, and he especially loved Yamboree time, a cherished occasion where he gathered with friends and family. James loved shooting guns, and exploring the open roads. These activities brought him immense joy and allowed him to forge unforgettable moments with family and friends that they will forever treasure.
He is lovingly remembered as a kind-hearted soul, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and anyone who encountered James felt his genuine warmth and good nature.
He is survived by his son, Eric Lee Archer and wife Brittany of Gladewater, TX; brother, Michael Lee Archer and wife Kathleen of Boise, Idaho; Mike and Angela Rivera and their son, Xavier; Eddie Shaw and wife Dixie along with their children, Aaron Shaw, Nathan Shaw, Jonathon Shaw, Rachel Mandreger and Hannah Bradley; 2 grandchildren, Ethan and Elena Archer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Donna Archer.
James will be honored during visitation at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas, on December 14, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
