Dr. James Michael Armstrong II

Dr. James Michael Armstrong II, 32, of Memphis, TN passed away on March 17, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. James was born on October 7, 1993 to James Armstrong, Sr and Brenda Renee Taylor Armstrong in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a cherished member of his family, high school, colleges classmates , and colleagues. He was known for his intellect, compassion, and unwavering commitment to those around him. James dedicated his life to education and scholarship, earning his doctoral degree and making a lasting impact through his work and mentorship. He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for his warmth, generosity, and the deep care he showed to family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. James is survived by his loving parents, James Michael Armstrong, Sr. and Brenda Renee Taylor Armstrong, his sister, Mariesha Jenee' Taylor Armstrong. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 from 10:00 am - 10:59 am at Brown Baptist Church 980 Stateline Road Memphis, Tennessee 38116. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM in the Brown Baptist Church 980 Stateline Road Memphis, TN 38116. Burial will take place at Historic Elmwood Cemetery.
