You were one of the bright spots in my life and you left a legacy of love behind and a guiding light for me to follow in your footsteps. Your unconditional love and support meant the whole world to me and I'll forever be grateful for the lessons you taught me over my 23 years I could call you grandpa and occasionally "gimpa"! You were always the strongest of us and you always held us Bailard's together. Life will never be the same without you and I deeply miss you every day.
I promise to keep the light of your love and of our heavenly father's love burning for all to see. This candle Is a reminder of how much better you made my life as my only grandpa. I could never thank you enough. Love, your little buddy!

This world lost a giant of a man this week. Heaven regained another wonderful man of faith. He was the favorite teacher of all 3 of my children. God bless his family. You have such wonderful memories to cherish.

My condolences to the Bailard family. I fondly remember Royle as the "Gentle Giant" of Alaska Avenue on the school bus. A Christian man, indeed!

He made an impact on me as a shy 5th grader at Kettle Lake, had great rapport with students and there was no messing around in class. He made me learn the state capitals. You had to get them right to go out for recess. Loved hearing his voice at football games.

This message is for the entire Bailard family.

While I only know Dan, I wanted to reach out to all of you and let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. If Dan is any indication of the type of person that Mr Bailard was. The world has certainly lost one of the greats. I am here for you if needed.

Our hearts were saddened when we read the passing of Royal Ballard for he was a dear friend of the (Ted Christman) family since the 1950's and have many fond memories of our friendship and want each family members to know we are keeping you in our thoughts and especially our prayers during this time and may you find comfort knowing he is resting peacefully in the arms of his Dear Savior.

Royal was a true Christian and example of strong faith to many friends in the Caledonia area and we will keep you all in our prayers as you greave your loss.

Sincerely,

In addition to being a good friend to all of us Royal was also the best teacher my sons ever had, who taught them sternly, but always shared a good laugh with them to begin the class.
