James Bailey was my uncle and the only uncle on my mom´s side of the family. I remember that when my sister and I were very young he was an electronics technician in the United States Air Force. When he would come home on leave, he always had a new car. He would take me and my sister places and buy things for us. He married Nancy later in life and from what I can tell was very happy! She passed away a few years ago and sometime in the last year or so he became a resident of Good Samaritan nursing home. I called and visited with him a few times over the phone and he was always very "matter of fact". I think the last time we talked was about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I loved my Uncle James and I wish he had lived closer so we could have spent more time together!
