My favorite memories of Jim are from the many lovely Christmas Eves we shared with him and his family. Jim was a wonderful host and always made sure everyone had their beverage of choice. He was a great conversationalist and also managed to remain calm and steady no matter what was going on around him. One year my young son pushed a button on the wall near the door that turned out to be a police summoning alarm. Jim handled the situation without any drama in order to avoid upsetting my son in any way. For many years after that we all enjoyed remembering the night of the alarm, and I especially loved hearing Jim´s fabulous chuckle each time the story was told.
My heart goes out to Pat. I know she will miss her best friend, Jim, more than most people can imagine. Peace to all who knew and loved Jim. He will be greatly missed.
