James Barkley Obituary
James A. "Jimmy" Barkley, 86, of New Castle passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Willows of New Castle. He was born on May 31, 1939 in New Castle to Clarence and Mildred (Tout) Barkley.
Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. He will be buried at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition at a later date. You may express condolences or share a memory of Jimmy at www.hinsey-brown.com.

I served with SGT Barkley in the New Castle unit. Jim was a good soldier and always gave his best. Well done soldier! Rest well.

I remember Jim Barkley well. We worked together at the New Castle Wastewater Treatment Plant during the 80s. Jim was a good operator. I remember he used to detail cars like a pro. Jim was a good guy and I'm glad I got to work with him.
