It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Lawrence Beck, Jr., lovingly known as Jim. He peacefully left this life at the age of 74, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Jim is survived by his sisters Theresa (Robert) Kubler, Christina (Jack) Kimmelman; his brother Anthony (Diana) Beck, son Jacob; and many nieces and nephews and beloved friends. He is also lovingly remembered by his adopted family - Leslie Farrell, Nathan Clements, and Lissa and Mark Harpster. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis and James Sr., and his infant son Joshua.

Known for his adventurous spirit, creativity, and endless generosity of time and skills, Jim was "Mr. Fix-It" who could repair anything. A skilled carpenter, he crafted unique works like his "God Boxes" and hand-built beds. He spent time as a ski instructor, teaching disabled children with empathy and compassion, and found great joy in the outdoors, especially the mountains of Colorado.

At Christmas Jim became "Santa Jim" delighting children everywhere. He adored animals - especially his present dog Lily. JIm even appeared in several films!

Jim was a very private person, but for those whom he allowed into his inner circle, his kindness, humor and heart will live on.
