James Becker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flores Funeral Home - Mission on Feb. 16, 2026.
James Lowell Becker, 69, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at his home in Alton, Texas.James was born on April 14, 1956, in Ithaca, Michigan; to the late Lowell Becker and Betty Smith.

He carried with him the strength, work ethic, and steady character that shaped him into a devoted husband, father, grand- father, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Angie Becker, and his parents, Lowell Becker and Betty Smith.

James is survived by his loving wife, Josefina Becker, who was the love of his life and his greatest companion. Their bond was one built on loyalty, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He also leaves behind his cherished children, Chris Becker, Jenny Becker, and Kristy Becker, who were his pride and joy. Nothing meant more to James than his family. He loved deeply, protected fiercely, and gave generously of himself. James loved deeply - especially his numerous grandchildren, who brought endless light and happiness into his life. He treasured every hug, every laugh, and every moment spent with them. Being "Grandpa" was one of his greatest honors, and his love for them was unconditional and immeasurable.

James shared a special bond with his brother, Roger Becker (Betty Rodgers), and treasured the lifelong connection they held.

Those who knew James knew his heart was as big as the open road. He found freedom and peace riding his Harley-Davidson, feeling the wind and the simple joy of the journey. At home, his loyal fur companion, Maizi, was always by his side, a constant source of comfort and happiness.

James had a deep love for the ocean, often escaping to the beach where he felt closest to serenity. He also embraced adventure, traveling throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, creating memories filled with beauty, culture, and unforgettable experiences. Whether near or far, he carried his love for his family everywhere he went.

Above all, James loved his wife and children with his whole heart. His life was a testament to dedication, loyalty, and unconditional love. His presence was steady, his laugh was warm, and his love will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
