James B. "Jim" Beine, of Caruthersville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the age of 47. Beloved son of John Beine and the late Frances (Francy) Beine; cherished brother of Lisa (Craig) Avenevoli and Stacy Beine; loving uncle of Jacob Beine, Joseph (Gio) Avenevoli, Giana Avenevoli, and Geno Avenevoli.
Despite many odds against Jim his entire life, he continually overcame, demonstrating how special being "different" can be. Jim was the epitome of strength, unconditional love, kindness, compassion, acceptance, and happiness. Jim touched the hearts of everyone he met. He was so loved, full of life and personality, and he made sure everyone was entertained when around him.
Jim will forever be remembered through the many things that brought him joy. He relished in reminding everyone how old they were getting; and relaying the time on one of his many favorites watches he wore throughout the years. Those closest to Jim will remember his wild dance moves anytime music was playing, but especially his favorite old jam, !
Jim was very active, loved playing games, and simply being outdoors. Jim participated in Special Olympics as a swimmer and runner for many years. Basketball was his favorite sport and he loved to shoot hoops – especially down the street at his favorite neighborhood home growing up. Jim went through many bikes throughout his childhood and was the king of his neighborhood riding his bike to and from the park more times than one can count.
More than anything, Jim loved spending time with his family. Jim looked forward to family trips to the beach, and especially to the lake on their family boat, showing off his slalom water skiing skills. He even had his own play size boats, cars, and trailers that he loved to back in and out of the drive, pretending his was still at the lake.
Jim taught those around him so very much about how to love, interact and respect each other no matter their differences. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to Special Olympics or Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri.
