James Arthur Bigger

James A. Bigger, 82, Cadiz, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio. He was born November 14, 1925 in Cadiz, a son of the late Clarence and Nellie Carson Bigger. Jim was a retired employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation and a veteran having served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carmelita Barnes Bigger in 2005; a brother, William Bigger and a sister Grace DeWalt. Surviving are a son, Ed Bigger of Chesapeake, Ohio; a daughter, JoAnne Bigger of Cadiz; three sisters: Eileen Kowalski of Obert, Indiana, Clara Bice of New Mexico, and Linda Ezzell of Tennessee; three brothers-in-law: Ernest Barnes of Tampa, Florida, Ray Barnes of Cottageville, West Virgina, and Charles Barnes of Ravenswood, West Virginia; and 2 sisters-in-law: Laura Mae Bosworth of Oregon and Judith Ann Largen of Tennessee. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 23 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Robert Main officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Military honors will be conducted by the Cadiz American Legion. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com.
