My heart is broken, my deepest sympathies to your whole family. I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed planning and working on projects with James for Sea Cadets. He was so easy to talk to, he had such a big heart, always looking out for his friends and family. I know he loved you all so, so much. I am so privileged to have gotten to know him and although his journey has been cut short, he will live in my heart forever.

My deepest sympathy for your family's loss. I met James this past June at the Theresa Firemens Picnic, we marched together in the American Legion honor guard. I enjoyed talking to him about my time in the US Navy. Even though my encounter was brief, my impression of him was the Navy was going to inherit an outstanding sailor.
