James Boesch Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
James Joseph Boesch, known as Jim or Jimmy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at MediLodge of Port Huron. Born on March 5, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Jim was the cherished son of the late William and Mary (Blasko) Boesch.
Jim was a man who embraced the beauty of the world with open arms, and his passion for travel saw him visiting almost every state in the U.S. Colorado held a special place in his heart. A true outdoorsman, Jim's adventurous spirit was matched only by his love for the water and the wilderness. He was an avid boater and white water rafting was another of his favorite experiences.
Jim's nieces and nephews knew him as the fun uncle, the one who would always be ready for boating or fishing. He instilled in them a sense of value for adventure. His great-nieces and great-nephews will carry forward the stories of their beloved uncle's escapades and the lessons he shared.
Beyond his love for the great outdoors, Jim had an impressive DVD collection and he found joy later in life watching his favorite films.
He leaves behind a family who adored him, including his sister-in-law, Joan Boesch; his nephews and niece, Brian (Allison), Michael (Grat), Dianne (Kris), William (Candra), Julianne (Angelo), and Marianne (Jeremy); and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Boesch, and his brothers, William and Thomas (Gloria) Boesch.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St Therese of Lisieux Parish, 48115 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial.
