James Renwick Bole Jr.

James Renwick Bole, affectionately known as Jim, a beloved husband, father, and friend passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the age of 90. Born on February 21, 1934, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Growing up in Long Beach, Ca. Jim spent his formative years in the sunny coastal city, where he first embraced a love for learning at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. This passion for knowledge and devotion to academic pursuits led him to the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, marking the beginning of a distinguished professional journey.
Jim's early career began with Shell Corp, where he honed his skills and established himself as a dedicated and skilled accountant. In his pursuit of new challenges, he joined the Garrett Corporation. Over the span of 33 years, Jim's expertise and leadership were vital, culminating in his role as Director of Finance and Administration at Allied-Signal Aerospace Company, from which he retired in 1993. His career, marked by integrity and commitment, was a testament to his character and work ethic.
Jim's passion for the Trojans was legendary, sparked by attending the thrilling 1939 Rose Bowl with his father where USC bested Duke. This experience ignited a lifelong devotion to USC athletics. Whether it was football, baseball, basketball, or track, Jim was a familiar face at both home and away games, his encyclopedic memory capable of recalling every significant play of countless games. Outside of sports, Jim was a voracious reader, particularly captivated by World War II history, his knowledge of which was vast and remarkably detailed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving family: wife Suzanne Bole, son John Bole of Spokane, Wa., daughter Beverly Carver and husband Jimmy of Colorado Springs, CO. His step-daughters Rhonda Mautner, Deanna Miller and her husband Sean. Grandchildren Jacob Carver, Wendy Keesling and husband Mark, and Anna Bole.

As they mourn his loss, they find comfort in his legacy-a life lived with enthusiasm, unwavering loyalty, and an uncompromising love for family, friends, and interests.
