Saludos.. yo me acabo de enterar por este medio y me dolió pues pensaba verle concuerdo con Jonh Wallace,fue un tiempo como un regalo de Dios el que estuvimos en El Biotopo, Xela, Panajachel(pato poc) ya extinto, purulha.... muy digno de seguir sus huellas Amigo James...

I just became aware of James passing. I was with James for 2 years in guatemala in the Peace Corps. We spent days together hiking in Cerro San Gil, which became officially designated protected due to the work of James and Jack Bucklin. We boated up the rio dulce, slept in hammocks and discovered howler monkey troops, we journeyed to Belize and camped on islands, we collected marine samples in the bahia amatique and convinced the government not to destroy the sea grass beds. we tipped many beers and venado together. The list goes on. James truly understood that we are interconnected with nature. We lost one of the best. peace to his family and friends.

This news just devastated me as I knew James well in Peace Corps where we did similar work in wildlife management hiking the cloud forests of Guatemala.

He was then as you described him in these amazingly poignant and touching words from the heart about his life now. He will be forever missed and loved and his spirit will live in us all. I will spread his trademark gift the best to my ability to all our friends we all haven't met yet. We were lucky to have known and shared the trails with him.

I worked with James on MTU at Swedish for 8 years. He was such an amazing human being. His kindness and pure selflessness radiated! We had so many good times and laughs over the years and to hear of his passing was so very sad. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed by so many!

James was truly what we would call a "good man"! Genuine and kind when he would ask "How are you today?". He really cared which encouraged one to respond honestly!
I imagine anyone who would choose to wait patiently in the line at James´ station at King Soopers experienced the same warm feeling as they departed the store having encountered someone who really cared how you felt, what was happening in your life!
Know that you are missed, James, and that you brought something special to our lives! Rest In Peace!

We are so sorry to hear of James' passing. He was such a kind person and made friends everywhere he went. Though we only knew him from being a customer at King Soopers, we considered him a friend, along with many others. Because of his kind soul, his line was always the longest and we were all happy to wait just to get a chance to chat with a friend. You will be missed.

I worked with him in the Multi Trauma Unit @ Swedish Medical Center. I always loved his positiveness, cheerfulness and kindness to everyone. I learned from him that there is always a choice to be positive and think it will be a wonderful day. Although I will miss him a lot, I know that he will be hiking in heaven.

I was so sorry to hear of Jim's death. I remember him fondly as one of the people who was funny and kind. Many of us always hoped he would some day join us at a St. Mary's reunion. May God comfort you in your loss.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I was so very sad to learn of Jame's passing...He was such a breathe of fresh air and radiated true friendship and concern. I was very heartbroken to learn of James's passing. I worked with James at King Soopers, and he always had a smile on his face. My condolences and sympathies to all of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed!

I was so heartbroken to learn of James' passing. He was always my favorite clerk at King Soopers. He just emanated kindness and positivity and always shared a smile or kind words. We used to joke about my cat whose middle name is James...he said he knew he must be a trouble-maker! I always so looked forward to interacting with James during the otherwise mundane task of checking out groceries. I will miss him and so will many, many others in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. RIP
