James R. "Jim" Bowman

James R. "Jim" Bowman, 75, of Jonestown passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Denise J. (Groy) Bowman with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage. Jim was born in Lebanon on February 22, 1950 to the late Richard E. Bowman, Sr., and Fern I. (Maurer) Bowman. He was a graduate of Hershey High School. Jim was a long-term electrician for Three Mile Island and Met-Ed. He also was contracted through Lebanon Valley College and worked as an electrician. He worked on their stained-glass windows in the chapel. Jim enjoying woodworking, forging metal knives, working with stained-glass, being outdoors, and drag racing. He loved spending time with his beloved dogs, Rocky and Teddy. Surviving in addition to his wife are his sisters, Barbara Brown of Fredericksburg, Karen Lee of Charlestown, WV, and sister-in-law, Marie Bowman and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard E. Bowman, Jr., David E. Bowman, Gary L. Bowman, and Patsy Southward. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday October 9, 2025 from 4PM-5PM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
