James R Brady Jr 72 of Cherry Tree, Pa passed away August 31, 2025 at home. Jim was the son of James Sr and Genevieve (Rising) Brady. Born Jan 31, 1953 in Spangler Pa.

Jim was a hardworking man his entire life. He worked as a heavy equipment operator his whole working career until closer to retirement and finished out at IUP. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed everything outdoors, he could often be found most days in his gardens, mowing grass, bird watching, or riding around on his tractor finding that one blade of grass that just wasn't perfect yet. He adored his grandkids; they were the absolute apple of his eye and always made him laugh and smile that big contagious smile of his. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Denise (Lightner) with whom he spent 49 years together holding hands side by side, three sisters, three daughters, Kristen (Matthew), Shayla (Scot), Jessica (Jon), three grandchildren, Sydney, Aubrey, and Brielle.

All Services are private and in care of the McCabe-Roof Funeral Home.
