James Branam Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Erick Branam, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend who lived life boldly and loved his family endlessly. On his final journey, he flew home into the arms of Jesus, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength.

James was a passionate pilot and a lover of motorcycles, finding freedom both in the sky and on the open road. He was the kind of man who truly knew how to live - embracing adventure, laughter, and every moment spent with the people he loved most. His sense of humor could light up any room, and his presence made those around him feel safe, valued, and deeply loved.

Above all else, James was a family man. He was the best example of what it means to be a husband, father, and grandfather. His love for his family was unwavering, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

One of the many things he reminded those he loved was to "always stay humble and kind," a phrase that reflected the way he lived his life and treated others.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Ethel Branam; his grandmother Lorraine Smith and grandfather Lloyd Smith; and his aunt Sandra Sexton.

James is survived by his father Warren Branam and stepmother Joyce Branam; his beloved wife Jennifer Branam; his children Madison Branam, Briahanna Hatcher and her husband Kyle Hatcher, Brooklyn Alshaberh and her fiancé Amit Taank, and Brandon Branam and his wife Harley Branam.

He was a proud grandfather to Addelynn Hatcher, Casein Hatcher, Lincoln Hatcher, Eva Alshaberh, Kenna Garibaldo, Nicole Branam, Annamae Branam, and Maverick Branam, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.

He is also survived by his brother Rodney Branam, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

James lived with a full heart, laughed often, loved deeply, and showed everyone around him how to truly enjoy life.

As a pilot, he spent much of his life soaring through the skies, and now he has taken his final flight - safely home into the arms of Jesus. Though he is no longer here beside us, his love, his laughter, and his reminder to always stay humble and kind will guide those who loved him for the rest of their lives.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Adams Brown Service is assisting the family.
