James Branch

James Anthony Branch, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Plymouth on November 10th, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 78 years old. James was the devoted husband of Elizabeth K. (Tisell) Branch, with whom he shared a deep and loving partnership.
Born on March 20, 1947, in Evanston, Indiana, James was the son of the late James E. and Camelia (Dilucchio) Branch. He spent his formative years in Sandwich,Massachusetts, where he was educated in the local school system and graduated from Sandwich High School. His pursuit of knowledge continued at Cape Cod Community College, where he earned his associate's degree.
James dedicated much of his life to his work as a truck driver, proudly serving with the local Teamster's Union Local 653. His strong work ethic and commitment to his profession were evident throughout his career. Beyond his work, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved playing cards, cooking delicious meals for his family,and immersing himself in a good book. The beach held a special place in his heart,where he cherished swimming in Cape Cod Bay with his family, creating lasting memories.
A true animal lover, James had a special bond with his beloved cat, Posey, who brought him much joy and companionship. His kindness and gentle spirit extended to all living creatures, reflecting his compassionate nature.
James is survived by his son, Jason Branch, and his wife Meghan of Plymouth, along with his cherished grandchildren, Scarlett, Owen, and Luke Branch, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his stepbrother, Robert Hoxie of Sandwich.
Visiting hours will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, located at 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet), on Sunday, November 16th, from 2:00 to 4:00PM. Following the visitation, cremation will take place at Vine Hills Crematory on Monday.
