James (JB) Brearey, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend to many was born on April 28, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA. He passed away peacefully at home in Morrisville, PA, on August 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with many joyful memories.
JB was always the life of the party. He loved dancing, playing sports, watching the Phillies, Eagles, and Chiefs. JB had a passion for cars, either going to car shows or watching the car auctions on television. Friends and family will remember him for his cheerful spirit and love for life, always ready to share a laugh and a good time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Edna and Albert Brearey, and his siblings: Margaret, Dolores, Richard, and Theresa. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce, and her husband Paul Ciesielka. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Albert Brearey, Joseph Brearey, and Elizabeth and her husband James Myarick. JB was the loving grandfather to Anthony and Kristen, as well recently becoming a great grandfather to Cecilia. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended relatives.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 10:00 to 11 a.m. in the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA, 19067. A prayer service will begin in the funeral home starting at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in his memory to the LIFE St. Mary Center, 2500 Northgate Rd., Trevose, PA 19053.
JB will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His lively spirit and memories will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
