James "Buck" O. Tollison, 94, of Central, passed away on March 18, 2026. He was born in McColl, SC to the late Oscar Henry and Ruth Maye Tollison.
Buck lived a meaningful life and was known for his dedication to his work and family. Buck spent over 20 years working at Clemson University as a locksmith. He took pride in his career and the skills he brought to his job.
Buck was a man who loved to enjoy simple pleasures. He had a passion for golfing, bowling, and going fishing. These hobbies brought him joy and gave him moments to relax and have fun. Buck also was a member of the masons, even serving in leadership roles.
Above all else, Buck was proud of his family. They were the center of his life, and he cherished the time he spent with them.
James "Buck" O. Tollison will be remembered for his hard work, love of hobbies, and deep commitment to those he cared about.
Buck is survived by his cherished wife, Joyce Tollison; sons, Fred Paxton (Pam), and Billy Joe Tollison (Audra); daughters, Arline Caldwell (Mike), Vada Lee, Connie Tollison, and Sherri Tollison; Brother, Wayne Tollison; grandchildren, Chaz Paxton, Brandon Paxton, Marcus Lee, Nathan Holliday, and Samuel Caldwell; and great grandchildren, Catie Paxton, and Carter Paxton.
In addition to his parents, Buck is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Tollison; and sister, Lois Hart.
