Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home - South County ChapelIt is with deep love and gratitude for his life that we share the passing of James Alois Buseman, who was fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 79.Jim was the beloved husband of almost 54 years to Kathleen (née Tiggard) Buseman, the devoted father of Laura (Scott) Gurley and David Buseman, and the adored grandfather of Emily, Kate, and Collin Gurley.
He was the dear brother of Gail Ullrich, cherished brother-in-law of Helen Tiggard, and a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Alois and Almira (née Rustige) Buseman, his brother-in-law, Harry Tiggard, and his sister-in-law, Rita Luczak. He is also survived by many wonderful cousins and friends.
Jim was a caring family man, a steadfast friend, and a person of unwavering faith. Whether he was helping his children, traveling with his wife, cheering on his grandkids, or volunteering at his parish, he cherished his time with family and friends the most. As a retired sales manager who worked with Brach’s, Trolli, Philadelphia Chewing Gum, and Haribo, he enjoyed spreading happiness and joy in the world one piece of candy at a time.
Jim was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his kindness, devotion, and the love he so generously shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm, on Friday, September 26, 2025 at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis MO 63129. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 4900 Ringer Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, St Louis MO.
