James Buser Obituary
James "Jim" Andrew Buser, 58, of Short Gap, died at home on January 10, 2026.
Born September 30, 1967, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late McKinley "Mick" Buser and Helen (Sigler) Buser.
Jim had earned his bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University.
Jim was an active member of Central Assembly of God, where he had served as a Deacon and on the Worship Team.
He was one of the founding members of the Western Maryland Disc Golf League. Jim had a passion for disc golf and worked with Central to design and install a complete 9-hole course on the church grounds.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 27 years, Amy (Walters) Buser; two daughters, Ava (Buser) Niland and husband Joel, and Evelyn Buser; his brother, Jeffrey Buser; and, a grandson soon to be born.
Friends will be received at Central Assembly of God, Cumberland, on Wednesday, January 14th. from 10 AM until 11 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM, with Pastor Doug Seaman, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Assembly of God, 2020 Bedford Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
