On March 9, 2026 Jack Butler of Waller, TX went home into the hands of the Lord.

Jack son of late Francis Butler and Marguerite Raty Butler was born April 1, 1954 in Buffalo, New York. He grew up in Buffalo and spent extended amounts of time in Belgium as a child, cultivating some of his favorite memories he spoke of often. As a young adult he traveled throughout the U.S. with his friends before settling in Houston, Texas. Over time he became a successful entrepreneur with his business CQ Copier Services. He was a former member of the Mexican American Golfing Association and Knights of Columbus.

He was a passionate Buffalo Bills and Houston Astros fan. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, attending football games, tailgating, and sitting in the Crawford boxes at Astros games. His greatest joy though was when he was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He lived life to the fullest. He worked hard, loved deeply, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy time with the people around him. Jack treasured his friendships, and anyone who knew him knows he had a story for everything. He gave unforgettable hugs and never said goodbye without giving three kisses on the cheek. His loyalty, humor, and ability to tell a great story made him someone people were naturally drawn to.

He is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Marguerite Butler, his sister Catherine, his brother John Paul, his brother in laws Art Lachut, and Joseph O'Brien.

He is survived by his loving children: Brooke Bettis (husband Wes), Sierra Short (wife Becky), Sheridan Kimble (husband Dustin), and Austin Butler; and his cherished grandchildren Londyn, Elyin, Kaydence, Kennedy, Magnus, and Vivianne; also survived by his siblings Bernadette, Christian, Mary, Franceanne, and Karen (sister in law) along with his nieces and nephews.
