Born August 5 1931 in Lola KY to Dennis and Ila Mae Campbell and passed away June 5 2024 in Las Vegas NV. James, Served in the U.S Army from 11-20-1952 to 11-9-1953 with an honorable discharge. Reached the rank of Corporal during the Korean War. Worked for Kentucky Highway Department from August of 1954 August of 1955. Married Almeda Louise Riley in Corinth MS on December 27 1954. Married 64 years. They moved to Detroit MI and had two children Dennis Coy Campbell and Jayne Louise Campbell. Worked for George C. Wetherbrec from August 1955 to November 1965. Started working for TRW on 11-11-1965 as a machinist. He became the union representative. From there he went on to become shop steward. He was on the bargaining committee. Retired from TRW and moved to Las Vegas in 1988. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F.& A.M. and rose to the status of master mason. He passed peacefully in his sleep. He was a great father and my best friend. Have a safe journey.
James is survived by Dennis Coy Campbell (Son), Jayne Louise Coca (Daughter), Michael R Coca (Son-in-law), Grand Children - DeAnna Paden, Michael K Coca, Brandon Coca, and Jessica Coca along with 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Friday on 6-14-2024 at 4:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home located at 6200 S. Eastern. Las Vegas, Nevada 89119
Burial will be Thursday 06-27-2024 at 10:40 am located at Veterans Memorial Cometary located at 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, Nevada 89005
