James Christopher Cappers

Sending my condolences to the Cappers family even though I didn't know Christopher. America will never forget your sacrifice.

From darkness to light. Five years ago these words were on a candle that our church had us sponsor, along with the name of one of the victims of this sad day. Your name came to me. I've have prayed for you ever since and lit the candle again today in your honor... as we remember. Blessings to you and the loved ones you left behind.

Remembering James on the 20th anniversary of 9/11....

Chris was my roommate, teammate, and fraternity brother in college. Best friend I had during those years. I miss him to this day.

We will never forget that horrible day when we lost so many good people like Chris. I pause today to ask a special blessing for his family and friends. Much love from Texas,

Chris and I went to Qunnipiac together, though I didn't know him well, though we played on the Lacrosse team together were often linemates. Since graduating Quinnipiac I have lived and worked in NYC, and as Chris did, I too work in finance. Gods just had different plans for us I guess. From what I remember, he was talented, personable, and always polite. Chris will always remain in my prayers and thoughts this time every year.

Chris and I were room mates our freshman year at Wake Forest. We shared a lot of laughs and late night talks. He did not have the false cockiness so typical of young men. Instead, he was thoughtful, generous, and considerate. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I remember one time my girlfriend was going to be in Chapel Hill to visit one of her friends and I had no way to get her to Winston-Salem. "No problem," said Chris, "I'll drive you there and we'll pick her up." And we did. I am so sorry for his family's loss, but his children will be his legacy.

I worked with Murray, Chris's Dad, in Atlanta.

My wife and I rode in America's 911 Ride on August 18-21, 2011. The purpose of this motorcycle run was to honor and remember the heroes and victims of 911.

Each participant in this run was given a card with the name of an individual 911 victim that we were riding in honor and memory of. Our card was in honor of Chris and I'd like his family to have it if you are interested. If so, please e-mail me and I'd be happy to get it to you.

I remember Chris from church in long valley NJ,and I think of him and his family every year. I'm sure I allways
will.

I attended the Santa Cruz County 9/11 Memorial today in Watsonville, CA where the Boy Scouts handed out flags with names on them for each of the victims of 9/11. My flag had your name on it. I wanted to let your family know I'm thinking of them and you will not be forgotten.

Chris, justice has been done today and you can now rest in PEACE. I will never forget you.

I can't believe it has been 7 years.
My prayers are with you and your family. Chris aka Clark will always be remembered in my house thanks to the paddle that he made me for being his Alpha Chi Rho big brother. It is one of my most cherished things from college. Once again my prayers are with you and your family.

I worked with Chris at Marsh for a short time. He was so nice to help me become knowledgeable of Marsh. We would take the subway to the LIRR with a few other people on the way home and we would talk about the day. God Bless his Wife and Children, I will always remember him in my prayers.

In remembrance....

Dear Kit, I came across this website on a fluke tonight. I didn't know it existed. I think of Chris often and pray for you and the kids. You are truly a strong woman and I am very proud of you. I may not always know the right things to say or do but know that I love you and pray for you all the time.

My heart and prayers go out to Chris' Family. I have worked with Chris for a long time over the phones and have had the pleasure to meet him several times during the course of our work relationship.

I just want you to know that Chris is surely missed by all.

My prayers go out to the Cappers family. I attended Valley Forge with Chris and was in the E Battery with him. He was a good friend, and was funny. I remember going on a ski trip with him and we were all just learning how to ski.

We will never forget

My name is Nick Giedris and I attend St. Pius X High School in Houston, TX. In order to remember those who died due to the events of September 11th, our Student Council made wristbands-one for every person who died- including the name of the person, and their age. I am lucky enough to have picked someone who seems to have been a truly terrific person. Please know that my thoughts and the thoughts of everyone in my school community and the country are with you.

I cannot express what a loss we have experienced. Chris was a personhably, vibrant and enthusiastic young man whom everyone loved. As a brother of Alpha Chi Rho, Chris exemplified all that is good in humankind; caring, compassion, humor and loyalty. Chris will always be remembered as "the mild mannered reporter" due to his easy going personality and calm demeanor.

Kit, I hope you find soloace in knowing that Chris was loved by everyone he met, including me.

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this entry. I wish to express my deepest condolences to Chris' wife, Kathleen, his children, Alex and Andrew, his parents and the rest of his family and friends. I worked with Chris for a few years and although I did not know him that well, I very much enjoyed working with him for the short time that I did. It was extremely obvious to everyone who knew Chris how much he loved and enjoyed his family. May God Bless him and his family and may he rest in peace.
