First I'm sorry for your loss.Jim was on the Bunker Hill with my uncle who passed away on May 11th during the attack.I came across this information due to a letter he wrote to my grandmother in August 1945 after the attack. His letter must have been a comfort to her especially since they were close friends on board.I just happened to find this information recently and looked up Jim on google and came up on his passing. He was a very good shipmate.

Mom moved to The Chelsea in July 2019. Even before she started living there, while we were coming and going to move her in, we met Jim in the third floor lounge. He was such a nice man and I always enjoyed talking with him when I was visiting mom. We were saddened to learn last week of his passing. We will miss him and our condolences go out to all of you.
