James Charpentier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Dec. 5, 2024.
It Is with great sadness to announce James Michael Charpentier passed away suddenly at the age of 66 on November 20, 2024. He was born in Taunton and raised in Marlboro. Jim is predeceased by parents Joe and Marion Charpentier and sister Barbara Williams. He leaves a brother Joseph and wife Marianne with one nephew Joseph Charpentier, two nieces;
Jaime Hansen and Jaclyn Korody all of Texas. Jim leaves two sons; Michael Charperter of Dorchester and Steven Charpentier of Kingston and a newly born grandson Levi Robert Charpentier. He had completed 4 years at Northeastern University in the field of business. Over the years, Jim was emplayed at Bankers and Tradesmen, Boston Financial Data Services, JP Morgan Chase, and as a manager at Ocean State Job Lot.
He had been an avid skier where he spent many winters in New Hampshire with his brother and his parents and in the summers at Blueberry Hill campground in Plymouth with his parents where he developed many friendships and lifelong memories. It was a joyous event and a blessing that Jim got to hold his grandson, Levi.
Some of his favorite pastimes with his children involved shooting hoops, coaching soccer, attending sports games and watching the Patriots. Jim was viewed as his son's biggest fan at youth soccer, basketball, and baseball.
Jim was the beloved life partner of Elaine Sheffield-Bono for 15 years recently moving from Milton to Rockland.
He enjoyed spending time at their Plymouth cottage as well as visiting Ogunquit, Cooperstown, and Elaine's Truro beach house. He spent many enjoyable trips to Disney World and camping in Northwoods Maine with Elaine and her dad.
He was a great 'Cat Dad' to the kitties who came through our lives.
He was known by many people and their pups in the neighborhood as he often sat on the front porch making friends with passerby's.
He was a good and kind man and will be terribly missed by many who loved him.
