Sorry to hear Jim is no longer with us. He was a great American, good friend to many and good guy all around. Comfort to his family he loved very much. He will be sorely missed in the Jacksonville community. Wayne Adams.

Jim and I were fellow Marine Captain, H34 helicopter pilots in Vietnam in 1967 - 1968, with HMM-363, "Lucky Red Lions". Jim was the most enthusiastically gregarious person I have ever met. He was full of life, and fun to be around. Jim wrote most all of the "Red Lion" songs about the squadron that we sang with frevolity. My favorite story about Jim was when he had a cold and laryngitis. A parody of the birds, swallows, that return to the San Juan Capistrano Mission in California that return from migration on March 19th every year, when Jim recoverd from his cold he announced, "The swallow has returned to Captain Citrano".

In 1951 my family moved to 93 Woodland Ave, Verona, New Jersey. Upon starting Laning Ave grammar school, the first person I met was "seaweed". We shared a friendship for the next 12 years. He was a gentleman, friend and fun to be around. I mourn for all our Verona High School mates who have gone before us. Rest in peace my friends.

We lost a Giant of a man! He will be greatly missed by all. Especially Eileen, Sheila, Jim jr, Thomas and Kara. Our sincere condolences to you all.
Many fond memories to enjoy. One of the best was the finish of the NY City marathon in Central Park. Jim was lying on the ground with tin foil wrapped around him by a couple of nurses.
We told him he had won his division.
5 foot 6 inches and 220 lbs!
He was indeed a giant of a man.
God Bless!!
