James (Jim) Edward CluckJim Cluck, 87, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born in Coffeeville, Kansas on October 26, 1930. He was a longtime resident of Zionsville, Indiana and graduated from Zionsville High School in 1948. He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and served onboard the USS Missouri and USS Wisconsin. Upon returning to Zionsville, he became a barber and opened his own shop in downtown Zionsville.In 1960 he married George Ann Word and had 3 children; Julia (Nick) Miller, Cynthia (Don) Schafer, and Jay (Wendy) Cluck. George Ann precedes him Jim in death.Jim later married Toni Thomasson, and she had two sons; Jeff (Benita) Thomasson and Tim (Lynn) Thomasson. Tim & his wife both precede him in death.Jim received the Award of Gold and Past Master in the Zions Masonic Lodge No. 197. He was a Life Member of the Charles F. Frank Masonic Lodge. He was the current Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star, Whitestown and a life member of the American Legion Post 79 and a longtime member of the Zionsville Christian Church. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling the USA with Toni.Jim is survived by his wife, Toni; two daughters; one son; one step-son; 12 grandchildren; four Great-Grandchildren; his sister, Betty Jones; two nephews, Steve & Dan Jones; one niece, Jill (Jim) Roush.A Celebration of Life will be at the Zionsville Christian Church on February 3, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with the Eastern Star, Masonic, and U.S. Navy Services followed by Reverend Tyler Thompson. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors in Jim's memory.Arrangements have been entrusted to Jerrit Clayton at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Zionsville.
