Mr. James “Jim” Donald Cofer, age 54, of Rockwood, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at his home. He was born January 28, 1971 to George Lynn Cofer and Rosa Anna Garrett Cofer in Oak Ridge, TN. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Rogers Group. He absolutely loved to fish any chance he could and he enjoyed all of the classic cars he could find. Most of all he loved his family and his grandbabies. Jim’s family rests assured that he is in the presence of the Lord, having accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He is preceded in death by his father: George Lynn Cofer; grandparents: Elijah Garrett and Lena Jones Garrett; brothers: Bill Cofer and John Cofer; and nieces: Amira Cofer and Misti Cofer. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Evans Mortuary Chapel from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a service starting at 6:00 pm and Bro. Daryn Griffis officiating. Cremation arrangements have been made to take place afterwards. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. James Donald Cofer.
