James "Jimm" Coffin, 78, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away after a brief illness on Monday, April 22, 2024. Jimm was born on September 20, 1945 in Haverhill, New Hampshire to the late Ray and Lillian Coffin. Jimm was always known for being a kind person and having a gentle soul. He enjoyed going to garage sales, yard sales, and estate sales in his spare time. Jimm also enjoyed working in the yard, tinkering around the house, and reading. He was an Usher at St. Therese Church in Cleveland.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Coffin Jr., and Richard Coffin.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his partner of 31 years, Skip Christie; brother, Larry (Carolyn) Coffin; sister-in-law, Annie Coffin; his cats, Callie, and Gertie; and his dog Chloe.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Therese Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Therese Catholic Church in Jimm's Memory.
