James Francis Consedine, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the VNA Respite House on Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born in Willimansett, MA to Harold and May Consedine on November 20, 1930. He graduated from St. Michael's College with a degree in Accounting. He retired from IBM after more than 25 years of service. Later in life he was fortunate to meet and marry Mary Lee Brooks. James was an accomplished golfer and bowler. He was a social individual who loved spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Rocky Ridge Golf Course, Burlington Country Club, Links at Lang Farm, BPOE 916, and Moose Lodge 1618. James Consedine is survived by his wife, Mary Lee; his five children, Jeanne Clark, James Consedine II, Margaret Watson, Mary Blankemeyer, and Michele Mitchell and Mary Lee's children, Warren Brooks, Judi Chapman, Pam Pierce, and Randy Brooks. He is preceded in death by his wife M. Carmen Consedine, his parents, and brother Harold Consedine. A celebration of his life will take place at Faith United Methodist Church in South Burlington on Monday, January 29th at 11:00, followed by internment at Resurrection Park Cemetery. Gentleman Jim Consedine was a constant ray of sunshine, always bestowing a bright light wherever he went. His love and devotion to family was unfailing, but especially towards his wife Carmen, and later Mary Lee, and of course, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I shall never forget that Jim was the first one at the hospital the early morning hours of my Moms unexpected passing, never leaving my Dads side until I arrived later that night. Jim lived a life admired by all, and remained a dashing, gracious, and chivalrous gentleman until he took his last breath. Viya con Dios, Uncle Jim.

I carry such warm and wonderful memories of Uncle Jim in my heart. His was a live well-lived and well-shared. A true gentleman as well as gentle man his loving support of his family, relatives and friends remain an immeasurable living legacy. I smile as I remember shared vacations with him, Carm' and my late husband, Larry. And I'm comforted knowing Marylee loved and was loved by him in his later years, supported by their shared commitment to living each day with faith, hope and charity. Adieu, mon cher oncle. Thérèse
