James Edward Cooper, age 69, passed from this life on July 1, 2024. Born on September 29, 1954, in Crane, Texas, to his late parents, John Cooper and Gladys Marie Cooper, James embarked on a journey marked by profound dedication and unwavering passion. Armed with a Master's degree, he dedicated his skills to the realms of electronics and computers before carving a distinguished path in the healthcare industry as an engineer.

If you had the privilege to inquire about James' well-being, his characteristic reply would resonate with a touch of humor: "Fair to Middlin'!" Beyond his professional endeavors, James found joy in the marvels of nature - whether watching storms, stargazing in awe at the vast expanse of the night sky, or capturing fleeting moments through the lens of his camera. He enjoyed the challenges of flying remote control helicopters and participating in aeromodeling competitions. James also reveled in playing rounds of disc golf with friends and sons or immersing himself in YouTube videos.

However, amidst all his pursuits and passions, one singular joy illuminated James' life above all else - the cherished moments spent with his beloved grandchildren. Building precious memories that would forever linger in their hearts, he treasured their laughter and shared moments.

James leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sara Maylene Cooper of North Richland Hills, Texas; his sons, Christopher James Cooper (Jackie) and Kyle Anthony Cooper (Kimberly); daughter, Keri Michelle Stewart (Jeff); eight cherished grandchildren, Lana, Bubba, Juliana, Cole, Kylie, Kinzi, Caleb, and Jeffrey; as well as his sister, Jana Wimer. His memory will also be held dear by countless other beloved family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., at The Cottage at Foster Village Park, 6600 Starnes Road, Watauga, Texas 76148.
