Elder James E. Corbett, born on June 6, 1943, in Philadelphia, entered eternal rest on November 2, 2025. A devoted member of his community and an Elder of the church, he dedicated his life to serving others and fostering spiritual growth among congregants.
Elder Corbett's educational journey equipped him with a profound understanding of faith and leadership, allowing him to guide many through their spiritual paths. His steadfast commitment to the church and its teachings was evident in the countless lives he touched throughout his ministry.
With a warm spirit and unwavering dedication, Elder James E. Corbett will be remembered for his compassionate heart, wise counsel, and tireless efforts to promote harmony and understanding within the community. His legacy of faith and service continues to inspire those who had the honor of knowing him.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Mount Airy Church of God in Christ. A viewing will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with service to follow at 11:00 am. The burial will take place at Northwood Cemetery, 1501 Haines St, Philadelphia, PA 19126.
