James Graffton Cox of Magazine, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2026, at Mercy in Fort Smith. He was born on June 28, 1962, in Temple, Texas, to the late Phillip Cox and Roberta "Bertie" (Gray) Cox. He was 63 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Phillip Lynn Cox; and a sister, Glenda Cox.
Jimmy enjoyed playing music and singing with his friends, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a jack of all trades but mostly worked construction.
At a later date, there will be a small memorial service at Clarks Church of God Cemetery in Magazine, Arkansas for friends and family.
He is survived by a son, Willie Cox and wife Christy of Scranton, Arkansas; a sister, Rhonda Cox of Temple, Texas; four grandchildren, Payton Cox and husband Trey of Scranton, Arkansas, Kaylee Bowers and husband Colton of Fayette, Missouri, Brittany Mosley of Scranton, Arkansas, and Devan Cox of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and several cousins.
